Me, Myself and I : I think that if you are reading think you probably know me by now, but if not, then : My friend called me X, yeah, must be the left over from my X-Philes day, I think I still am, really. So, it's X. What I do for a living is not really important, just know that most of the time it's boring. My favorite things to do... I read, a lot, and I write, some. I watch a lot of movie (certain kind of movie) and a lot of anime, yes Japanese Anime. I got a collection of them and also what I tried to watch with fansub on week to week basis (which is a lot) and go out and get the ones I like when it actually licenced and out in my neck of the wood.
Movies and Tv Show, oh yeah, those are the 'must' for me. I watch at least 10 shows each week, so that's a lot of TV right there, as for movie I tried to see them (the ones I'm interested in, which is easy to say that it doesn't include comedy or romance in anyway).
Music : NIN, Staind, Taking Back Sunday, Chevelle, Disturbed, P.Roach, Mary Elizabeth McGlyn, Evanescence, Finch, I think you kinda get the idea.
Poster Girls : Sarah Connor and Cameron Philips Series : Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles Program : The always faithful Photoshop and Dreamweaver, because I can't code everything by hand, just don't have that kind of patient.
Belate, Happy New Year and all that
Wow, it's been a really long while.
I've been occupied with other things. Nothing really stand out, just a bunch of stuff.
Recently (well, it's been months) We decided that a wireless internet access is a good addition to the apartment/hotel thing we have. So, yeah, we talked for a while, mainly me and my aunt, since she's overseeing day-to-day things here. Quite a few guests were asking for it, already. So, we decided, yes, we'll get it.
First, the phone company was being an ass. I don't see why we couldn't get 2Mps speed when I can get it easy for personal use. They said they couldn't, my question was why, since it's not like they send us the wireless signal, but instead we got it through phoneline like in the house. What morons.
Anyhow... we set it up normally, though I have no idea if it was the way it usually done in building like this. But it's easy for me to get it done and maintain myself, so it'll have to do.
We got N1 Vision by Belkin because it has the strongest signal. Of course, that doesn't cover 5 floors, so after N1 is set up. I picked up range extender, also Belkin (easier to get them all the same brand, compatibility is key here)
I got the extender set up this morning. Worked well, when I figured out that the security didn't match on both.
Had to be WPA and TKIP, instead in N1 it was WPA+WPA2. Now I just have to hook it up on the 3rd floor and then maybe another one on the 4th and we're homefree.
Picked up a new Nintendo DS lite as well. A black one. I had N5DS before hand and whatever people review said, it did not give me any problem. At all.
Also got NDS Lite in white for my sister too.. and Kitty's case for it. Cost me a pretty penny, so she better appreciate that.
Now I'm addicted to it. I'm playing My Sims, Harvest Moon IoH, Animal Crossin : WW. Such a dork I am.
wifi/star war tribute
Tuesday : Me and another 2 friends went to pick up a Belkin Wireless ADSL Modem+Router G+ Mimo instead of going to my violin lesson, of course I was planning on canceling the class anyway since I wasn't feeling well and my throat hurt. So, it was a perfect timing when my instructor also called to cancel.
So, we picked up the Belkin G+ Mimo. Before that my friend also picked up a Belkin G+ for her home use, this latest one was for her cousin's office. We didn't think that there would be any problem, since they set up the thing easily, except the security which she called me up for help. It took little time at all for her and 2 brothers to get it going. Of course the one that actually did the setting up was her younger brother.
Now, right the next day she called me up that she couldn't get it to work. So, I sat and look through Belkin site for her, the hard part was that, I don't know what she was looking at, I have to be there to actually be of any help.
She said she should pick up her brother for him to do it. But she didn't.
Today : I spent most of the day trying to help her out over the phone, it's like flying blind, we did several times, but I never really sure what she was looking at. I guess we'll do it again tomorrow. She was having problem with the internet itself. So, I told her to try calling the ISP to see if their line was perfectly fine. SO we could be sure that it was the modem and not the ISP. My phone nearly die but before that she said she had it for today.
Guess we'll start again tomorrow.

Well, my desktop (Phobos) is out to be reformatted, among other things, and so now I'm on my brand spanking new laptop, it's an Acer Aspire 4710G, which I've just picked up on Monday. I've been meaning to get it since new year (yeah, it's been that long) So, I finally got it, and well, I'm taking it to the store, to be used there, of course it'll consist of me surfing the web and read and write on it, while my mother plays solitair on it. It'll replace my other laptop which is a Dell that is about 4 years old, it still running fine, really, I just want a new one, and it's about time too... I still didn't take the plastic on the top off yet, but I'm considering some stickers..
Nah... it'd have to be a really cool sticker for me to put on this thing, I like things clean.
I'd my friend that I'd let her borrow that Dell for her to use for now, since she and her roommate is having problem, actually she didn't have problem, her roommate did, the kind that will probably put them on the different part of the country. The long story short was that her roommate (which once was her gf.) told her parents she won't go back home, she's gonna stay where she was and find work for a couple of years before she go home to help out, which really I do understand that, I mean they got her brother at home right now.. (which really didn't mean much from what I understand) But now, she's acting childish and stuff, now that it gets difficult. (short on money and shit) so now she's finding a reason to go home, which she's looking to my friend to provide. Although she still won't say it outright that she wanted to go home.
In truth I don't think she wanted to, but she doesn't want to make her own life difficult, which being at home will definitely prevent that. Now that she sees, really see how hard it will be. I understand her motive, but that doesn't mean she could drag my friend through shit for it. You don't wanna stay, don't, don't make other people suffer with you.
Anyhow...
I just found Lifehacker And found some really nicely organized home office, so I've decided that I'll organize and try to maximize my desk (which is rather small) space, first I am taking care of those clutter of wires. Time for a new set of keyboard and mouse too. so that's lesst 1 wire (I'm getting wireless desktop set thing from Logitec) I'm considering getting those wiretrack thing (the one you use running along the baseboard to conseal the wires) Maybe some pegboard, or corkboard. Let's what I can get tomorrow, I need to pick up a bunch of ziptie too. the one I got before were too small.
I also want to set up wireless network, just for my room, so I can hook up the game console to the net too. um... gotta save up the money, maybe a month or two.. gotta do some research too. Although the wireless gateway and adaptor are cheaper nowaday.
So much to do and so little time..
Tomorrow morning, picking up Harry Potter and The Deadly Hollow. :)
