just something I thought of...
just something I thought of...
Today, I was minding the store, and one of the in laws walked in. (She's a younger sister of my uncle's wife.) She was asking if I have some snaps, which I did not bring today, cause I wasn't planning on sewing anything. She sat and chat for a little while and I showed her the page of the new Luts Honey-Delf : Pie.
He's cute, and my sister was joking said that he looks like her son. I was like, yeah, and I think you're deluded. LOL.
Then I showed her Tanya's page. The story one. I was looking at the photo, and then it occurred to me that, while I was fully aware of all the joints in the BJD, they were more or less invisible to me. Sorta like my eyes simply bypass them. Weird. LOL
Now I'm setting up to take some pix for the box opening. I'm well.. taking a break. And I'm watching Bones.

shows
shows
I was watching L&O SVU season 5 again last night, and saw the first ep that Casey Novak showed up as their ADA, it was... so weird!
The transformation of Novak's hair within 40+ min of the show. It's like they are trying to show her assimilation into the SVU through her hairdo.
Well, I like her, not as much as Alex Cabot, cause you know.. gorgeous, blond, smart, and god she's sexy in the court room (yes yes yes, weird, I know, but I like blonds, blue eyes.) So, I'll be watching reruns of L&O for the kick of it. I never really pay attention much during the first run, but hey.. good to watch the old thing, see if you miss anything.
Ordered some more eye, this time glass. We'll see if I'm gonna use them. But then, They are all in blue tones. :D
I put fur wig on Dillon again last night.. man, big hair!
He looks good either way.
Pick up some fabric today, and lost my Buddha not really a fair trade. But what am I gonna do. Life suck, but whatever.

long awaits movie : Intensity
long awaits movie : Intensity
This was made for TV movie, and I've been waiting for it to get on DVD, VDO or anything, anything at all since 98 (the movie was showed on FOX in 97) And nothing, not a thing. I can't find it.
I looked for it on Amazon for the longest time. Had it been on DVD I would've bought it in a heartbeat, but alas, it was not.
And I've been looking for it on bittorent as well, anything really.
Finally, yesterday, I thought about it, so I thought, what the hell, I search for it, just in case.
And Voila!!
There was 1, the seeding was horrible, but after a day and a night, I got about 75% of it. I can't wait!!
Now, this is all w/o knowing if it's the right one, too. I hope it is.
New Laurell K. Hamilton book, damn, I didn't read the last three, because it got to be more of a soft porn than novel. She should really decide what she wanna write. I mean, dude, how many guys can a girl sleep with. I like her earlier Anita and not now Anita. And all those men around her. I don't like Nathanial, he's weak, and needy, well, actually just about every men around her are. It sucks. I'd rather see Edward hack and slash through them all.
I'd rather see her with JC. At least JC has a sense of humor.
I think I'm gonna stop reading, and I won't even start one the last three I already bought, I feel like I wasted enough money on it.

Belate, Happy New Year and all that
Belate, Happy New Year and all that
Wow, it's been a really long while.
I've been occupied with other things. Nothing really stand out, just a bunch of stuff.
Recently (well, it's been months) We decided that a wireless internet access is a good addition to the apartment/hotel thing we have. So, yeah, we talked for a while, mainly me and my aunt, since she's overseeing day-to-day things here. Quite a few guests were asking for it, already. So, we decided, yes, we'll get it.
First, the phone company was being an ass. I don't see why we couldn't get 2Mps speed when I can get it easy for personal use. They said they couldn't, my question was why, since it's not like they send us the wireless signal, but instead we got it through phoneline like in the house. What morons.
Anyhow... we set it up normally, though I have no idea if it was the way it usually done in building like this. But it's easy for me to get it done and maintain myself, so it'll have to do.
We got N1 Vision by Belkin because it has the strongest signal. Of course, that doesn't cover 5 floors, so after N1 is set up. I picked up range extender, also Belkin (easier to get them all the same brand, compatibility is key here)
I got the extender set up this morning. Worked well, when I figured out that the security didn't match on both.
Had to be WPA and TKIP, instead in N1 it was WPA+WPA2. Now I just have to hook it up on the 3rd floor and then maybe another one on the 4th and we're homefree.
Picked up a new Nintendo DS lite as well. A black one. I had N5DS before hand and whatever people review said, it did not give me any problem. At all.
Also got NDS Lite in white for my sister too.. and Kitty's case for it. Cost me a pretty penny, so she better appreciate that.
Now I'm addicted to it. I'm playing My Sims, Harvest Moon IoH, Animal Crossin : WW. Such a dork I am.

firefox 3.0.1
firefox 3.0.1
I have 2 computers.
1 desktop at home.
1 laptop at the store (which I share with my mother, whom only play solitaire on it.)
I used Firefox for my browser, and even though I still have IE on both my comp, I rarely used it, except to check on a few things. I'm happy with Firefox, for the most part.
When Firefox released version 3, I was kinda apprehensive, especially when I heard about a few bugs. But well, I upgraded anyway, but only on my desktop at home. As for my laptop, I left it alone.
And I found some trouble, but nothing that bothers me too much. Still I did not plan to upgrade on my laptop.
And then Firefox 3.0.1 came out.
That morning I went to the store, turned on my laptop, and when the prompt to upgrade came up, without thinking I pressed install.
What an Idiot!
Only after the installation of the new version that I realized what I've done. Man, did I feel like kicking myself. But what's done is done.
Then my first irritation began.
I could not load
youtube. And I did almost everything I could think of, I cleared the cache, the cookies (as per the recommendation) still nothing.
So, the next day, I tried again, and it was the same ol' thing. And this time, when I tried to get to my friend's hi5 page, I could only get the text and not the format and layout. I tried youtube on IE and it worked just fine.
Now I had to look at all the add-on I have.
I went and turned off most of them, except a few. Then restarted the firefox. and Voila! Youtube worked, hi5 worked. Now I went back and turned a few back on, except better you tube, and one another. Man, I almost create a new profile. That would've sucked big time.
I hope nothing else is going wrong.

no class today!
no class today!
I have no violin class today, my instructor canceled it, not that I feel all too good anyway.
Friday night I woke up (well, Saturday morning) at around 5 AM itching all over, but what I felt was stomachache first, but after that the itch set in. Man, that was a torture. I got some anti allergy from mom and took it. Then right the next morning she woke me up, and then I found that something was wrong.
Went to the doc, nothing serious, but annoying. I mean how would you like to go around all day feel like something stuck at the back of your throat you can't swallow and then when you tried you gonna upchuck all over the floor.
Yeah, so I got some medication for allergy reaction I had, which we still don't know what it was that I was allergic too. (suck, big time) Doc said I have to pay closer attention to what I was eating.
I wasn't even eating any seafood. weird.
But now I'm feeling a little tired all day because the med. Still I have to take all of them, for 7 days, and then I have another appointment.
A friend of mine decided that she's gonna clear up everything at the place she's at right now and come home.
I said it's about time.
I mean, she said she has opportunities there, which I wasn't sure about, but it's been years now and they didn't pan out, none of them.
And now it sounded like they are trying to chain her to where she was, and give her nothing at all. So, I told her, come home. Better off here even if she get small salary, because no rent to pay.
So, we'll wait and see if there's anymore obsticles.
Sometimes people thinks they are being nice by saying she would be miss and all, and she should say, oh what would we do without you and all that, but they didn't help when she has no money. So, how nice are they being?
Anyhow, I'm chatting with her everynight (well, almost everynight) I'll let her borrow money if she needs to, but she said she won't until she's really desperate.
C'est la vie.

Trouble surfacing, bored out of my mind, wanting another toy
Well, things aren't all settled yet. So, we do have some trouble with the bank account and stuff. Man, it'll be a while yet, before my mother was clear to take care of everything (in the legal sense) *sigh*
Not much we can do about that, so it's a waiting game right now. I should really go after some people now. Really, I should.
Maybe I should stick my father after them. Ummmmmmm.. there's a thought.
I recently started watching Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and I like Lena Headey (despite the fact that I saw her before and paid absolutely no attention to her) and Summer Glau. My friend asked if I like older woman (in her case, she meant old like mom's old) I said no, I like smart, strong and capable woman, there's a difference.
Anyhow, so I finally got to see Imagine Me&You as well.
Not that I have all that high expectation of the movie, I'm not one for romantic comedy anyway. But I like this one. It's my feel good movie now, especially the fact that it has happy ending.
So often we watch movies with lesbian character and then boom at the end they never get the girl. So, this one is gold. Lena was cute. (unlike her in Sarah character, that one can kick ass and take name all the way till the cow comes home)
In the midst of all the crap that came after the funeral, this was one little refuge for me.
Back to the crappy relative, these people makes you wanna gauge your eye out with a rusty spoon. One in particular, she's my dad's cousin that he used to help her out and get her started on the current occupation that she has now. Well, ok, she loves my father, good. But she acted as if she's done everything for him. If that's true, then why wait for my mother to order to medication, instead of just go ahead and do it herself?
Because the med cost $4,000. That's why.
Well, she has the money, so why wait for us to do it, since she loves my father so much. What a hypocrite. Then she has the audacity to tell my mother that she was not family. If my mother isn't family then she's a stranger.
With all the talks, you'd think she paid for everything when it's not true, we paid for everything, hospital bills, funeral and other miscellaneous stuff.
Narrow minded, petty, hypocritical, and to top that off, she's also very much self-center and self absorb.
So, after this, we're not going to ever contact her ever again.
I guess one good thing out of this, is that we know who we can count on and who we can trust.
Funny, people has opinion of how to treat him, when the doctor said that there's nothing they can do for him, other than treating him according to symptoms. But of course, we should do more, keep him with us longer. Why? So he could suffer more? And the medication, they said you should try, he worked so hard all his life, this is nothing.
Yeah, right.
The med did nothing, it didn't help, we knew this, the doc knew this. Even he, himself knew this. We tried anyway, because my mother didn't want them to all bitching behind her back about how we didn't do all we could for him.
Bullshit.
I don't see anyone coming up with the money for anything.
I should calm down now, because it's over and done with.
But I am not the one to forget easily. Doesn't matter what happen from now on, I'll always remember what they did.
Because I'm a bitch like that.

Finally, finally, finally....
The funeral is over and done with, now we are waiting for 100 days and then we're bringing the ashes and scatter it in the sea (I think, maybe we're taking the boat out, maybe, nothing is set in stone yet.) And we are finally being left alone, for the most part, which is a good thing, because I had about all I can handle of running around and seeing so many people that had so many things to say, and none that I wanna hear.
I prefer being left alone and deal with our own mess than having people's noses in our business. If I need help, I'll ask for it. Now we are starting to find out how much of a mess my father had made. I think my mother would definitely drag him out to smack him around if she could.
Enough of that though, what ever gonna happen will happen. Nothing we can do about it but deal when the time comes.
Finally all my bookshelves were delivered today, and instead of calling me so I know they were coming, so I can take a look and see if they were all to my order, noooooooo... I found out when I got home that they didn't put the locks on for me. So, I'll have to call them over again to take care of that. This gonna suck, I just knew.
I moved some of my manga out to the shelves already, but I'm not sure if it was a good idea, after all, we have 3 small kids in the house, last thing I need is for one of them to start dragging my manga out. If it happened whoever babysit at the time is a dead meat.
Gina is back! And I'm very happy about that, I've been wondering what happen to her, but now she's back and sounds like she's doing well. I think I'm gonna get back to drawing and photo manip and stuff now, maybe that'll help me along in my writing too, since it's been rather slow lately.
But then with all the shit that's been going on, can you blame me?
Anyhow, tomorrow is another day and I got some cleaning to do, most of the manga and small paperbacks will be in the new shelves, probably gonna move little by little, besides I wanna know when they are coming to put in the locks, because I don't wanna risk it.

Funeral, exhaustion, friends you can count on, people you wanna deck...
So, finally after over a month of agony and confusion and hopes and disappointment, and 15 days in the hospital, my father passed.
He was going to turn full 57 next month. A bit too quick, yes I know, but he hadn't been paying attention to his liver for years now. Had he done what the doctor told him to do, we might've caught it much much earlier, but what is done is done.
No use crying over spilled milk.
Anyway, he's not suffering anymore. I had a thought that maybe he was waiting for my grandmother to drop by, because the night she came to see him and she stayed with my mom and my aunt to watch him that night, he passed bright and early in the morning.
Mom called at 6:33 AM. to tell me that he's gone.
Sad, yes, but I feel better knowing he's not hurting anymore.
Now we are left to deal with a lot of things, including the mess he left behind. If my mother could, she would probably smack him around some for some of the shit he pulled.
But that aside, I'm so sick of all the people already, I can't wait for it to be over. They were all, tradition blah blah blah... I'm like, the death don't care! Everything is for the living, and they aren't even for us, the family that should be grieving, instead we have to deal with these people. More than half of these people showed up, I don't even know. But whatever.
My friends came as their respective jobs allowed, and I appreciated that. One of them came to help out since the first day, and another is coming back again tomorrow morning, she had to leave after Wed, because work needed to get done, and she's coming back again for the cremation.
They are trying to be there for me. I'm trying to figure out if I'm still in that stage that the whole thing is in suspend, because I don't have time, or I'm just all cried out since he was first diagnosed.
I'll keep myself occupied, with one thing or another, it'll pass. All the bad things will pass and I'm hoping we don't get buried neck deep in crap before it's over.

ISP, Continue from last post, really long e-mail, and Cindy!
Well, on my last post I was talking about movies I watch.
I do like big movie as well, you know epic film. LOTR, HP, PoTC. The kind that looks good on big screen.
My favorite movie of all time is Silence of the Lamb. I like the book as well, actually I like all of the books, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lamb, as for Hannibal Rising, well, I didn't have time to read it yet. But I did catch a glimpse of what Lector's childhood tragedy from Hannibal already.
For some reason I like Ghosts of Mississippi, don't ask me why, because I have no idea.
I used to go to sleep watching Autopsy on HBO. It's a part of America Undercover series that they have. Autopsy talks about what else Autopsies, so there were murder victims, serial killer. They show actual footage too.
Another interest of mine : Dissociative Identity Disorder, or Multiple Personality Disorder. Movie that brought this on was Primal Fear, good movie, I loved it! However the one in this was only a genius boy mimic the symptoms and not really suffering from it.
Oh yeah, another one, courtroom drama. James Woods was so good in Indictment.
I can go on and on, so I'll save some for later.
Hey Cin,
I hope you feel better, but yeah when you get busy your old injuries tended to come back and haunt ya. Happened with my right elbow too. (A dog bit me several years ago, the bite didn't bother me as much as how many shots I had to get for it!) For some reason Friends wasn't all that amusing to me. I have a morbid sense of humor, so black comedy with some sense of irony will have a better chance of making me laugh. My friend loves Friends though.
I'll e-mail you in a few days.
I'm getting my ISP changed, so, I'm calling them to get the details tomorrow, (the new ISP) I need to know what promotional they have and all the little details, although my cousin uses this company and they are pretty good. I can get it up and running within 7 days. (so, now I'm calling them) Free modem. Good. Tomorrow I'm gonna pick up the application. And I better cancel the old one while I'm at it too.
Well, my birthday was last Saturday, and my mother went to see a medium. Yes, a medium. Anyhow, long story short, we got a bunch of things we have to do yet. *sigh* I wrote a long e-mail to 2 friends of mine about it. I'm not writing it here because it's so damn hard to explain. And this post will be like a short novella.
Not very pretty.
I really should take a picture to show them while I explain too. Might make it easier.
Nah..
I'm gonna go shower and watch Rendition now.
There, another favorite right now... Meryl Streep. Yeah, she's awesome. So far I've got...
Music of the Heart
Death Becomes Her
Kramer Vs. Kramer
A Cry in the Dark
Angels in America
The River Wild
Defending Your Life
Silkwood
Sophie's Choice
The House of the Spirits
Marvin's Room
The French Lieutenant's Woman
The Deer Hunter
Adaptations
The Devil Wears Prada
A Prairie Home Companion
I want Plenty, but well, maybe in a month or two I'll start ordering again, have to pay off what I have on the card first.
Needs must.

Sick kitty, Slightly clean puppy, New puppy salon
Well, Monday morning (slightly toward noon) I dropped off the pup at the new store, my friend took hers there, and apparently they are pretty good, and very nice to the dog, they didn't keep him in the cage. Anyway, they just opened the store so they don't have that many customer yet. So, not a lot of waiting.
So, I took Gizmo, and he was his usual self, messy all around, he's been romping around in the garden, after all. And he needed a little trim.
So I went in, the girl there was still in PJ, so I asked if the store is open, she said it is. I told her the dog needed a bath, and some trim, she asked what style I told her not like my friend's dog (money bag) She laughed. Yeah, he got all his fur buzzed off! It was funny. We thought he looks like Yoda!
Anyhow, I picked up Gizmo and he was all right. :)
My aunt once again picked up a kitten, well, the mother left the thing on the steps of my house, so she picked it up. It was sicked, so I said we should take it to the vet. And we did, I took Gizmo too.
The kitten has cold. So it's a shot for her, a good thing we brought her to the vet, otherwise she would've die. So now my aunt will keep an eye on her. I'm pretty sure she'll survive, can't say the same for my aunt, since she's gonna be up and awake all hour to see that the kitten gets to eat and stuff.
Gizmo got 3 shots, no wonder he won't turn his back to the Vet. LOL.
I also bought a hairdryer too, because I lost the other one, it was kinda small anyhow. A new one is good. Not that I ever blow dry my hair, (a reason I kept it short) But when I give the dogs a bath, I needed it. Last time I let him sit in front of the fan and I had the a/c on. He was shivering and whimpering, it was pathetic if not a little funny.
Saturday is my birthday, I'm trying to get another friend down here for that. I mean, last time she was over we barely get to talk, since she was only over for a night, and not even 24 hours, she got here in the afternoon and left early in the morning. It sucked!
Hopefully, she'll be able to.
It's well into the new year now, and well, all I can say is same old shit different year. I still can't go anywhere, can't really do anything. My domain is due for renewal, and I'm thinking of changing.
My friend wanted to learn some music instrument and I think I might join her. Piano? Violin? I'd love to know how to play both, but better focus on one thing. I think that too many things at once will be too much and I'll lose interest.

Medium, National Treasure, birthday plan
Medium : The first episode for this season, a really late start to the season. But I guess it's a good time, since it retain the old slot of Monday night. And while nothing else is on because of the strike and all.
I wonder how that's gonna play out. I hope it all ends well.
Anyway, back to Medium.
Now Allison and family had to deal with the fact that she was 'out' and everyone knew her name and half of the people believe her, the other half didn't. Manny was gone, about to come back, he didn't know what was gonna happen to him, his career and everything else. The new DA was an ass that concern more with the image, as far as I can tell.
Even Scanlon, he had seen what Allison can do and yet he ignored her. I do understand that association with Allison made him some sort of social outcast, so much so that he was reduced to talking about safety with the school children. So, he's resenting her, but then over the last season he's been doing this thing, where he'd disregard what she said or what she told him, even though she was proven to be right over and over again. What was his problem? The fact that he's a hard ass homicide cop? Even cops take intuitive leap sometimes, don't they?
His attitude probably isn't going to improve, even though the clue she gave him was right, once again. Won't even credit her with it, even to himself. (I don't expect him to run to the DA and tell him where he got the clue.)
The investigator, well, she had some sense about her and it's good that she recognized what Allison can do for her and for the work she's doing. This episode was mostly about transition. At least she refused to ignore who she was (like she'd done when she was younger, by drinking herself silly so she didn't hear or see anything) and still trying to help. Too bad that her husband and the kids had to suffer too.
Well, she's got a way of making a living now, so it should get better from here (or maybe not). I'm looking forward to where Manny is back and now he fits into all of this. If he's still gonna be DA or they just permanently replaced him.
I finally got to see National Treasure.
It's been out for a long while by this point, and I finally get the chance. It was entertaining, certainly, more sight seeing, and kinda funny at some point, but I think the whole adventure thing.. um.. could've been better. And the bad guy turned into an OK guy.. no I did not like that. He started so promising and just turned into 'that' at the end? Man.. so all the thing he did was so that his name could be in history? Seems like a lot of effort for someone that seemed to concern himself with money.
Well, at least it wasn't a bust. I would've been really disappointed otherwise.
Today is my friend's little sister's birthday. And on the 12th is another girl's birthday, and the 19th is mine. I guess I'll throw a little get together thing, mostly to eat, and I won't be the one to arrange it, my aunt will take care of all the food. :)
I still have to be the one to drive her to get them though.
What do I want for my birthday, well, no one asks me that. Probably no one will. *sigh* so I guess I'll have to get things for myself if I want anything. I don't think my poor wallet could take it though.
I better drop by to see grandma, I hadn't seen her in a really long while. She was the one who raised me when I was 2 to about 7. Saturday, I think.
I lost another fish the other day, angel fish, he got stuck underneath some rock, stupid fish. Oh well, they are so fragile anyhow.
My optical mouse is being a bi-otch it kept flicker in and out, and I never drop the thing to warrant this kind of reaction. I'm thinking of getting a new one, but then it came in a set of keyboard and mouse set (wireless desktop set by Kensington)
Mom wants a new mouse because while I have a spare mouse (they gave me one when I got the laptop) it was too small and she said it doesn't feel good in her palm. Yup, new mouse, big one...
Well, right now it is working, so... we'll see how it goes.

Sleep deprived, exhaustion, Christmas Eve
A friend of mine came yesterday, only didn't plan to stay the night, although I think she knew she would be staying the night. I went to another friend's, supposed to be tutoring them on some writing.
Me? Teaching... right.
I did explain, as best I could about the thing, problem is, they are just not very skill at it to begin with. It's hard to explain how to write structure wise when they can't string a sentence together and have them make sense. LOL.
Well, it takes time, time I'm not sure that they have.
Well, my A/C unit had been dripping for 2 nights, and so I didn't get any sleep, and last night I was getting some anime for a friend and so it took some times, and so... as a result I went to bed around 4:30 am. and actually fell asleep around 5. And by 6 my friend was up, she had to get to the bus early.
Needless to say I'm exhausted, and the headache is growing from the size of MA, to TX now.
I got A Cry In the Dark (1988) a couple of days ago. I gotta sit down and watch it later, preferably somewhere without any interruption.
Man, I need sleep, my eyes are burning. I still have some e-mail to send out.

Went to another wedding on Saturday.
I wasn't gonna go, since I was tired, and I didn't get any sleep the night before, but well, a friend called me up an hour before the wedding was suppose to start, so I had to go. Honestly, I wasn't that close to the friend that was married. (as much as she liked to think otherwise) There wasn't even enough table. It was annoying.
The other friends were going some place after, I just didn't have the energy and besides, the place they went, just not my thing. She asked why... I told her to consider several things, first my type of music, I don't dance, and I don't drink. Doesn't work very well, in a club setting.
I'm working on a new layout for the homepage, the layout was simple, extremely so, so now I'm just doing the whole html and writing the body of the pages. Should be done in a couple of days.
I'm trying to write too... just kinda too tired to concentrate lately. I'm gonna try my hand at that prompt on LJ though, it's Mirandy so it should be fun (even if I will agonize over it).
And there's still Shiznat to finish.. :) Oh joy.

Finally the
internet works!!
The
DSL line at the store was out of commission for almost a week, I nearly pull my hair out! The reason being that I forgot to pay the bill last month. (I sometimes lost track of bills.) Well, I had my cousin went and paid the thing, which they
should've turned it back on for me, which they said they did, but 3 days later I still could not use it. So I had to called over and over again, until the day before yesterday, they called me up and said that it should work now.
And Voila! It did.
So, now I can entertain myself while minding the store.
On the
papercraft note, I decided to make another
cryptex, this time it should be neater and cleaner, I'm more careful and also I got one of those circle cutter from
Olfa my favorite is the
SVR-1 I have 4 of them and a spare of A. They are reliable blades, I love them, and while I'd have to go through a pack of spare blade to finish a job, I would use less than half of that amount with
Olfa, they are quite sharp (as my finger could
attested to that). I swear by them.
Being the freak that I am, I always have packs and packs of spare blade around.
You never know when you're going to need them. :)
Well, I did the apple off of the same site as the Cryptex one. Still it's not that complicate, and looks quite pretty. :)
Now I better go make a phone call. I still have another 5 squares to cut as well, which I forgot to bring. grrrrrrrrr...

My friend's wedding is on Saturday.
We went for seafood on Tuesday, my friend's dad was driving, and her mother went too, his truck was a half-cap, so there were her parents, 2, my friend and her sister, 2, me, a kid from the office and her sister's friend, there were 7 in total, at first my friend sat in the back, and then well, it rain!
So, she moved inside and the poor kid had to sit by himself in the back, good thing it didn't rain for long, or hard. So, we got there, the four of use stuffed into the back like a tuna in a can. LOL.
When we got there, we ate, and ate... and well.. ate.
Shrimp, mostly, shrimp 3kg. of it.
Soft-shell crabs, clams, squids. So fresh they were still swimming when we picked them out.
It was great!! With our hands, no spoon, or fork!
So, on the way back, all 5 of us were sitting in the truck bed. LOL... It was an hour ride (more or less) by the time we got back, my face was numb from the wide and hair. It was fun, though. She said we'll do it again in, maybe, two months. :)
I hope another friend could join us, actually, if she came with us, we would've brought another car. Which would be mine.
Well, I'll be driving on Saturday, anyhow, hopefully we won't get lost.
They are mostly all married now, what am I gonna do?!?!
Well, good for them, and good for me!
LOL.
I do not wanna get married, the thought of having to share everything with someone irks me. I cannot, as I've found, be reasonable with my space. I can't even imagine sharing a computer. LOL..
I'm just that bad.

Surprise, surprise!!
Yesterday I got a couple of calls that I never thought I would ever going to get, and no, it was not a good thing.
One of them was my cousin, which I grew up with but didn't see for over ten years already. And he called me to borrow some money. All I can say is HELL NO!
I don't have the money to be throwing around, especially with someone I know I won't get any of it back, so no way in hell. I'm not that much of a masochist. I have my limit.
And then another call, from LCF, man, my gut is wicked nervous right then, and not in a good way. I didn't think of her for so long and I didn't expect to ever hear from her ever again. (and I thought that if I ever did it would be too soon, apparently, I shouldn't have thought that) It's been over 2 years, though I did have a feeling that I would be hearing from her.
Anyhow, moving on.
I went to see 1408 last night, it was good, I enjoyed it a lot. Very character driven, and it was like watching someone that's about to lose their mind and entering into the realm of insanity. Like watching people going slowly insane, it was good. :) There were a few moments here and there that gave me a scare, and that's saying a lot! I don't usually jump from seeing something popped up in a movie. But this movie made me jump a couple of times.
I did question my own sanity for going to a horror movie at 0:40am. And now I'm suffering for it, since I went to bed at 4:30am and then woke up at 7am went back to bed 8am and woke up again at 9:30am. I so hate my life right now.
Speaking of movie, I'm very much looking forward to Resident Evil : Extinction. I think Sat night will be a good night for it, :)
On the other note, I dropped by the bookstore and bought me a copy of The Devil Wears Prada last night, it's a good thing that the place close at 11pm, since I got out of the gym around 10:45pm. So far I enjoy the book.

I went to an Aikido class today. Actually, it was on a trial basis at the gym that I am a member (Sports Club) The membership of which I am about to run out. LOL. I'll continue, I'm pretty sure now, and the other one I'll just give it to my sister. The transfer wasn't complicated so, it should be fine.
I liked the class, a lot, I mean I've always wanted to try Aikido, and this was pretty cool. And I miss the physicality of it, after not practicing Karate for 3 years, I miss it a lot. This will be good, I'm not sure how it's gonna go, because the trail period end in Oct, so, hopefully they continue, I'll even pay extra for it, it'll be really good too... Any self-defense classes are good, I think, for just about everything, it helps with the stress, a lot, as I've learned that first hand. :)
I'm watching Close to Home season 1, I kinda like it and I think Jennifer Finnigan is cute as a button (well, she got that, blonde blue eyed, so...)

I got a new HDD external drive which is 250 GB. So, I'll keep some of my anime on it, those that I keep till the dvd's out. (if they ever gonna be released here.) Just stuffs that are pretty much filled up my hard drive.
They have 3 colors, and I picked the blue one, pretty color and I really like the blue light too! I got it a week or so ago, and I simply didn't have the energy to get to the back of my cpu to plug it in, and I finally get to tonight.
One of the receptionists was in the accident this morning, apparently she did not show up (which I had no idea since I was dragged out of bed to drive my mother to see the doctor) And they had been trying to get a hold of her and couldn't. I was saying that something must've happened, because she doesn't just miss work, not without a good reason. And Voila! we got a call from her sister that she's in the hospital. I guess tomorrow I'll be driving my aunt and my mom to see her.
Mom picked up a bunch of orchids and plants today, my aunt got fishes, me... I get to drive all day! Not fun, let me tell you, not fun at all.

Continue from last night :
Ok, so I found this store iStudio, they sell Mac accessories and other things, so I got Solar Charger there (and I already knew the moment I saw it that this's going to be my favorite store!)
They also have that laptop stand and such, a bunch of comp accessories and so... I'm in love with it
I did buy a bugweed pillow as well, expensive, but well, it was rather worth it. Only a night and I felt the difference, I didn't wake up with a kink in my neck this morning and I slept through the night. (except when Gizmo barked to get some water). I'd get one for mom, but she's just the type to not use it. She's just that stubborn about things. And if she won't use it, then well, as expensive as it is if she doesn't use it then it is really expensive, if she uses it, then it is worth the money.
I'm still contemplating the wireless networking, even if just so I can play psp online... or maybe not, so far I don't see the point just yet.
I watched The Bridge to Terabethia today. I liked it. With the cover you might expect another Nania, but this isn't. It's about 2 kids, outcast, one because she was a new girl and have rather strange look at things, and the other was poor, they paired up and created a world of their own. I think my niece liked it. But she fell asleep. LOL.

September 01, 2007
Today was my day off, actually I should say that it's the day that the store closes, however, I don't actually get it off, the only difference is, I get to sleep late, but that's about it. So, I had to take my aunt shopping (getting things for my house, and such, still I'm a driver) And it usually before I get my breakfast/lunch.
Anyhow, I decided to go to the movie, 'cause I want to. Went to see 'Invasion' stared Nicole Kidman. It was good, I was kinda surprise, well, a little. It started like typical Alien invasion movie, (something like Puppetmaster came to mind) There's a sense of urgency throughout the movie, which I liked, a lot. Kept me on the edge of my seat and I didn't get bored, although there were times that the movie was a bit confusing, but I do think that it fitted the state of mind that the main character was in.
Nicole Kidman looked pretty good in it, too. So, it's a plus. I like her in these kind of role, her desperation and exhaustion was palpable (well, makeup does help, with those red rimmed eyes, tousled hair) The way her face barely contain the feeling when the character had to be out among the Alien.
The transformation from human to alien during REM sleep was not overdone. I've seen a lot of movies that just pushed the gore just a bit too much. This one was on the minimal side. Though there was this one scene when the Press conference was going on and the waiters at the back were basically barfing into the water, YUCK!! And I was eating, too.
The movie was shorter than I'd expected it. A little under 2 hours (maybe I watched those movies too much, the ones that were just won't work under 2 hours, always 2 and a half or more) And with a happy ending. LOL. I half expected to see her turned and all hope lost at the end, even though I knew it wasn't going to be that way. And it wasn't, everything got saved in the nick of time.
When the movie was over it was before 11pm. So it was pretty good, since it wasn't too late and meant that I will get to bed before 3am. I've learned that the later I get home is the even later I'd go to bed. I once got home at 4:30am. from my friend's house, we were talking and just completely forgot the time, anyhow, I got home and still I got cleaned up and other things, I ended up really going to be after 5am. Me and my bad habit, I guess.
I also found a store which, I think I'd become a regular. LOL. I do love toys. I was thinking of getting something to raise up the bottom of my laptop and I found these little things they sold there, perfect, really perfect. Well, that's a story for tomorrow. :)
I'm gonna go watch Mai Otome (again) now.

These are what I carry in the backpack to and from the store everyday, I took them all out the night before to inspect how dirty my backpack is. And well, it's pretty bad, all those dirt and stain. It's time I wash it, I think. But before that I need a replacement because I do need these.
There's my DCSoesCo. backpack, Staedtler triplus fineliner in sets of 10 colors, my Ipaq phone, Olfa silver exacto knife, pocket watch, ipod nano, my Oakley whisker, iomega screenplay, 3 sets of keys, a dvd case that carry one dvd or another, my notebook with black staedtler tucked in the spiral for writing fanfic and whatnot, my Nikon digital cam that really belonged to my mother, but she doesn't use it, so I do.
They don't weight very much altogether, really. And I travel to work by motorcycle, so to have these on me, weren't that much of an ordeal.
I would be carrying my laptop too, except I left that at the store, so I don't have to carry it back and fort everyday.
Oh yeah, and I also take my dog everyday, he sits in the front basket. (and no he doesn't try to jump.)
I took the pic because, um.. I don't know, too many visits to lifehacker I guess, so I wanna see what clutter do I carry around with me. (and something to blog about, in case Jamie is reading..LOL)
Well, I went and pick up a soft bag for my laptop yesterday and saw a laptop backpack that I wanted, it has lots of pocket and looking pretty good too!
On the other note, I'm about to start watching Nodame Cantabile, my friend recommended it (her friend recommended it to her) The anime is 23 ep long I believe, and the Live-action is 11 ep. I still have lots ot catch up though. I should really start with watching all my Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles first.
Claymore manga still isn't out yet, I got it up to vol 11. The characters are pretty nice looking and the story line reminded me of Berserk. Let's hope it doesn't drag out as long as Berserk though, it gets tiring now. It could've end nicely about half way back. There're a few manga that are like that. (ex. Dragonball, even St. Seiya)
I watched first ep. of Zombie Loan the other day, it's by Peach Pit, the same that gave us Rozen Maiden (and I really like that series) so I'm gonna continue watching this one too.
I'm waiting with my batted breath for Mai Otome Zwei 4, it should be out on the 24th and so since I can't understand Japanese I'm waiting for Fansub to come out. Now, my friend's friend is coming back from Japan in a couple of months, I think I'm gonna ask her to ask him to get all 4 for me. Maybe, if it's not too much trouble that is, since he's not my friend. Maybe I'll just order Amazon Japan. Man, so many things to get. And I need a set of pen nibs too. I lost the entire set a while back. (damnit!)
I'm broke.

Watching : Mai Otome vol. 9
Well, right now I got a bunch of Anime that simple being put on back burner for one reason or another. Like Eureka 7, I bought it up to vol. 8 now and I'd yet to watch any of them. Same goes for Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, and then I picked up Rayearth. Yeah, I have more things to watch than the actual time to watch them. At least now So You Think You Can Dance is finished, so I won't have to load them and stuff.. still there's The Dead Zone, Monk that I'm watching. Also on the anime side Claymore, El Cazador de la Bruja. A friend of mine recommended Nodame Catabile. I'm deciding.
I picked up 'Happily N'ever After' the other day and watched it tonight. I liked the story, I do, although the pace was slow for my liking, but I do understand that it was made for a younger group of audience (kids) so, the movie needs to be at slower pace, (read somewhere that if you let children watch something face pace, their attention span will get shot to shit... ) Anyhow, while I was watching I was thinking.. Frida (the stepmother) totally wanted little (Cinder)Ella. LOL. Must be all the femmeslash I read! I actually have an idea for the fanfic too.. how sick is that!
I might just write it. Who knows. I've been writing things that didn't get post for a while now. I'm trying to go back DL again, but with all my files lost on my last comp crash... that just tough, so I guess I won't even try to remember what I've wrote, but just write the new scene, otherwise it'll take me eternity to do it.
And also new layout, yes, I'm deciding what I wanna do with it this time... which series or anime I should use as starting point. Another Shizuru maybe, or Natsuki. Or maybe Bellatrix. :) Also the layout for the homepage, which is long overdue. Probably another Fuffy, or maybe the Ella from Happily N'ever After. I feel so uninspired these days.
Also, I've been trying to get my workspace organized, something that's hard to do since I have more books in here than I should, so my next plan was to get some bookcases built, those won't be the store bought ones, since they are too deep for my need, most of the books that will go in there will be manga, and paperbag novels. Other ones that will not fit in those can stay in the shelves in my room. The shelves will be located in front of my brother's room down to my sister's since it's one continuous piece of wall, that will be enough for all the manga. I still have some in bags sitting on the floor due to the fact that I have no space in the shelves to put them.
I cleared a lot of things off of my desk, and made a monitor stand so the monitor is more my eye level and the keyboard could go underneath it, giving me space to write I wrapped up most of the cables, doesn't look as nice as I would've wanted, but it's better than the clutter I had before. It was a rat nest!
Of course, if I could get rid of the stuffs that I have then it'll be much better, but well, I just couldn't. LOL. I have to go through the stuff that I could throw away and just chuck those. Like boxes of the things I bought, speakers and games and stuff. I should get rid of that PS2 box too as well as printer box, since I won't need them. This weekend I guess.

Watching : Criminal Mind
I went to see Transformer last night.
It was AWESOME!!
I loved it!! I was completely worth the money and time, and I get to see less of those movies lately. (well, I get to see less movie in the theater period.) Oh yeah, nice cars too!! The Camaro, man, if I wasn't so opposed to one of the person that I wanna erase from my whole history, then I would probably foam at the mouth from wanting. (no I'm not a big car person, but I do appreciate the beauty of machine) As it was, I'm pretty happy with the little JAZZ I have.
And the next one on my list if Harry Potter and The Order of the Pheonix. 3 days and counting. That and the book!!!! I can't wait for the book!!! Hopefully, we'll get to see more of Narcissa in the last book, and of course Bellatrix. (I love that name!! Bellatrix!!)
Anyway, Stardust looked good too. *sigh* I love summer, so much to see!

Claymore: manga
I've reading through all 10 vol. of the manga the day before. I picked them up from 1-10, missing only vol. 7 and 9, but I picked those up yesterday and I read through all of them. I liked it, a lot and quite happy that the anime is following to the manga closely (or well, it seemed to so far)
We got to see Clare, the protagonist, as an emotionless being that a Claymore seemed to portrait in the beginning, coming into the village according to an order, we also learned that they worked as an organization, and the Claymore were once human girl that accept the Yoma's flesh to be half human half demon, and Claymore only have female, no male. Clare picked up a boy, or rather he followed her and begged to be with her (he had no one now that all his family was eaten and killed, and no one in the village was going to accept him, seeing him as a potential Yoma.)
So, she let him go with her, against her better judgment. And we learned more later that Clare was not the best in the organization, but the opposite, she was the last number, the worse in skill. And we saw why... she was saved by Teresa the former no.1 (not directly) she refused to be part from her. And later, when Teresa died she accept her flesh, making Clare only a quarter demon.
She improved although, not a sturdy progress, seemed weaker in some instant and stronger in others. I'm hoping there'll be no romance between her and the boy, cause that would so ruined it for me. And I do hope that the story won't turn out like Berserk, which still on going. So many potential slash pairing. Ummmmmm...
Spiderman 3.
Saw it, I kinda like it, although it seemed to be too much time span in only 1 movie. The Goblin (Hop Goblin??) Sandman, Venom, it would've been better to take, maybe Sandman out, so that they could focus more on the other two, or better yet, only 1 enemy. Maybe only Venom, they could go deeper into the details that way. 'Cause all we get to see were flashes of how he behaved and such, but no sense of how much time, or how long he was that way, which annoyed me, but all in all in was entertaining enough, and I do like Goblin. :)

Doing : munching on some snack
Today we (me and a friend of mine) went to Hot Yoga, and damn it was hot!!
I actuality I should not be going while I don't feel so well in the first place. The class is an hour and a half long, last 15 minutes was a torture, cause I don't feel good and I couldn't breathe very well. But we got through it, and it should be pretty good if I feel up to it again, maybe in a week. My throat hurts, and it felt like my chest is being constricted.
I still want Nintendo Wii.. My cousin asked me why, and why didn't I want PS3 or XBox 360. Easy, I'm not a hardcore gamer. I don't spend my day playing, all day all night, I only play in short burst and then I move on to something else, so a short game is good, and occasionally I might want something more substantial, but not right now, some racing game, or lighter on the effort, like mario is good.
I was watching the beginning of Night at the Museum last night. I like the T-rex, and the fact that it actually gave the reason to why everything came to life at night. I thought we were gonna go through the movie not knowing why. And the scene that had the Roman army shooting firearrow at Ben Stiller, that was funny. :) But not as much as the scene with the T-rex and bone throwing.
Now I should start watching The Guardian, and Eragon. ummmmmm...maybe I'll get through them today. Maybe...

I got some DVD today.
A couple of days ago I realized that Marchen Awaken Romance is out on DVD and so, when I dropped my mother off to see the doctor, on the way back we dropped by the mall to eat and so I bought Mai Otome and some manga. MAR was out.. they only had vol 3, and I needed all 3 volumes.
Anyway, I went today and got all 3 and also a set of Anime Figure for my mom and some sweets, and I got vol 10 of RG Veda. As well as Excalibur keychain. :) 2 pairs of whites boxers, (yes I wear 'em, they are quite comfortable.)
I can't wait for Mai Otome to come out. Also I did see the entire series already and saw all the omake, I still want them in DVD, besides, supporting your anime studio and all that. :) If you like anime, buy them, so they can continue to create new stuff for you to enjoy. Money does make the world goes round, after all.
I also got my package today, so I'm a happy camper today.
Yesterday, my cpu didn't get deliver (they said it's not completely finished) so it'll be today, and my wrist hurts a little from squash last night. I'm sleepy today, so I might not go. It's been really hot too.. so every little move get me sweating like a pig! (does pig really sweat???) I also need a haircut, I guess this weekend I will.

I'm watching Criminal Mind.
Finally, I got in touch with my Sensei again. I've been looking for her e-mail address forever, then I found it here on the laptop!!! What an idiot I've been. LOL. It's good to get in touch with her again. She's awesome! She taught me a lot, too bad I couldn't continue it here, would've help me with a lot of things. *sigh*
Now I better e-mail Sensei Al.
So, Mai Otome here is coming out and no it's not the Bandai us dubbed My Otome. (what was that about??? It just lost the meaning (mai = dance/name of the main character in HiME, blah blah blah) Anyhow, the box looks pretty good. :) I'm gonna just preorder and have them send it to my house so I don't have to kill myself looking for it like with Mai HiME.
It's all good. :)
Now I'll have to pick up anti virus for my uncle.

Still watching Mai HiME.
I'm also writing Mai HiME fanfiction as well. It's ShizNat, of course what else could it be. I should be writing other things as well, but well, right now I just don't have any idea for other stuff, so I have to do what I can.
Gizmo is being.... well, a dog that he is.
He's eating less and gotten a tad pickier than usual, I'm not really sure why. Maybe we have to change his diet.
At least he can't talk back. LOL
So, the wireless keyboard and mouse is working fine, so it's good. And I find typing out easier when the keyboard isn't high up on the counter top. Means, I can write faster. LOL. (why does that make me happy)
Anyhow, I might have to buy a new set for home use at this rate, but not that I mind very much. Or rather I hope not.
